Therapy Fees

Therapy with Dr. Wright

Initial intake session: $200

Individual therapy sessions : $160* (1 hour)

*As of January 1, 2026 therapy sessions will be $180

Extern Fees**

Initial Intake Session: $100

Individual therapy sessions (50 minutes): $75

Evaluation Fees

Comprehensive Psychological Evaluation: $1,850

Covers clinical intake interview, record review, cognitive testing, behavior/social-emotional measures, scoring, interpretation, feedback session, and full report. Generally recommended when a child is on track academically but there are concerns with social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. This evaluation is recommended when a child is not struggling academically but there are concerns related to attention, social communication, behavior, mood, or developmental differences. Academics only included if needed and added separately (explained below).

Academic Testing Add On:  $450

This is an add on to the comprehensive psychological evaluation. Academic testing is generally recommended when a child is struggling academically in school in addition to social, emotional, and/or behavioral struggles as indicated above. Academic testing will help determine strengths and weaknesses in reading, writing, and math. Academic testing is needed when pursuing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) in the schools or to help support  and document academic need for homeschooling students receiving the Empowerment Scholarship Award (ESA) funding.

 

Psychoeducational Evaluation (learning disabilities): $1,850

Includes cognitive testing, full academic assessment, relevant behavior/emotional screening, feedback, and a comprehensive report. Recommended when the main concern is a child’s difficulty with reading, writing, or math. Generally recommended when a child is struggling with a single or multiple academic area(s). This type of evaluation will help assess for reading, writing, and/or math disabilities (also referred to as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia). Does not routinely screen for more significant social, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns.

 

 Gifted Testing: $450

Clients who carry insurance should remember that professional services are rendered and charged to the clients and not submitted to the insurance companies. At your request, Dr. Wright will provide you with a copy of your receipt on a monthly basis, which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if you so choose. Please be aware that submitting a mental health invoice for reimbursement carries a certain amount of risk. Not all issues/conditions/problems, which are dealt with in psychotherapy, are reimbursed by insurance companies. It is your responsibility to verify the specifics of your coverage.
